Nobody should know or care how media members feel about a speech. Report what was said in the speech and let your readers/listeners/viewers decide if they are "horrified" by it or not. Why is this so hard?
I like the super-graphic vernacular as well. Horrified? That seems a little extreme considering you are just listening to someone speak. It's not like you just watched the ark of the covenant opened. #meltedface
